Restore an image to a larger partition size
Many times, when a hard drive fails, you end up replacing it with a larger drive than the original. By default when you go restore a backup image from the Recovery CD, it will restore it to a partition that was the same size as the original. This leaves empty unused space on the drive.
If you want to increase the size of the partition, first use the "Add Disk" option to create a new partition. Once the partition has been created, begin the Recovery process. When prompted with the option of creating a new partition or restoring to an existing partition, select the "Exisiting Partition" option. Continue with the recovery.
